Know your cocopeat

Share

Cocopeat differs from traditional soil; it's actually leftovers from coconut production. The coconut shells are organic and a surplus that would otherwise be thrown away.

We use this because it has significant advantages:

  • It's free from any nutrients, bugs and bacteria that are often found in traditional soil

  • It absorbs water very well

  • It provides a lot of oxygen to the plants' roots, making them grow faster.

This makes it an excellent growing medium. Theoretically, you can use any soil you want, but we highly recommend using coco peat for the best results.

When to change the coco peat?

Whenever you want to plant new seeds, we recommend changing the coco peat. Used cocopeat often contains nutrients and roots, and has an incorrect pH balance that can affect germination and growth
